Booking & installation
How long does a residential job take?
For new installations where scaffolding is already on site, the coating service typically takes around 1–2 hours. For existing installations where we need to set up our Mi-TOWER access system, the job typically takes around 2–4 hours.
Do you need access to a garden tap?
No. We bring the water and equipment required for the service with us.
Do you need access to an electricity socket?
Yes. We require access to a suitable electricity socket. Our installer will bring an extension lead.
What is the process for coating the panels?
The panels are professionally cleaned, polished and then coated.
Do you provide before-and-after pictures?
Yes. We provide before-and-after photographs of the panels.

We recommend re-applying PV Coating after five years.
How do I maintain coated panels?
Under normal environmental conditions, coated panels usually require no manual cleaning for up to five years. If unusually severe conditions make cleaning necessary, use a soft brush and de-ionised water. Cleaning chemicals are normally unnecessary.
Does the coating change the colour of the panels?
No. PV Coating is transparent.
Does the coating cause glare?
No. PV Coating is not designed to create glare to the eyes.
Is PV Coating a hydrophobic, ceramic or SiO₂ coating?
No.
Do you guarantee increased electricity production?
No. PV Coating is designed to help solar panels remain cleaner for longer. Cleaner panels can receive more unobstructed sunlight, which may support panel performance; however, electricity production depends on many factors and individual results vary. We therefore do not guarantee an increase in electricity production.
Will my panels remain completely dust-free and dirt-free for five years?
No. PV Coating is designed to make it easier for rain to remove dirt, dust and pollution from the panel surface. The rate and effectiveness of this natural cleaning depend on factors including panel angle, rainfall and local environmental conditions. We therefore do not guarantee that panels will remain completely dust-free or dirt-free for five years.

Will PV Coating void my manufacturer’s warranty?
To date, we are not aware of a solar panel manufacturer refusing a warranty claim specifically because PV Coating has been applied. For additional peace of mind, our 5-Year Guarantee includes panel replacement protection where a manufacturer refuses a qualifying warranty claim specifically because PV Coating was applied. Eligibility, exclusions, the scope of replacement and the claims process are subject to the full 5-Year Guarantee.
